The students of Class 12D presented a thought-provoking and culturally rich assembly that paid tribute to four remarkable women — Rukmini Devi Arundale, Madame Menaka, Rassundari devi and Gauhar Jaan — who defied the constraints of British colonial rule and redefined the role of women in Indian classical arts. Through a graceful fusion of Bharatanatyam and Kathak, a soulful musical tribute, and a dramatized narrative set in a railway station, the assembly highlighted how each of these pioneers used their art as a form of resistance and empowerment. The storyline was anchored by a young newspaper seller who, through witnessing the journeys of these women, comes to the realization that she too holds the potential to shape her own future. The presentation served not only as a celebration of artistic legacy but also as a powerful reminder of how individual courage can inspire collective change as we reconnect to our roots our pride and our identity.
