NPS HSR marked World Environment Day 2026 with a week-long celebration centred on the theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” Students across grades participated in engaging activities promoting sustainability, environmental awareness, and responsible living.

Senior and middle school students actively participated in thought-provoking activities. Grade 12 explored the importance of seasonal fruits, Grade 11 engaged in a panel discussion on “Fashion at the Cost of Life,” and Grade 10 promoted sustainable food habits through millet-based lunches. Grade 9 created awareness through a bulletin board competition, while Grades 8, 7, and 6 explored carbon footprints, eco-friendly practices, and energy conservation respectively. In the primary school, Grade 5 created terrariums, Grade 4 learned about decomposition through “Compost in a Bottle,” Grade 3 designed bird feeders, Grade 2 practised waste segregation, and Grade 1 crafted environment-themed bracelets with meaningful messages. The celebrations successfully fostered environmental awareness, responsibility, and a commitment to building a greener and more sustainable future.
