“The gift you gave us all is the gift of great hope for the future of all humanity.”
Our Montessori environments were filled with warmth, creativity, and joyful learning as we celebrated the 165th birth anniversary of Dr. Maria Montessori, the visionary who transformed education around the world. To honour her legacy, every child was given a circle to create a unique masterpiece of their own. Over 150 individual creations came together to adorn the frame of Dr. Montessori’s picture, beautifully reflecting the theme, “Every Child Leaves a Mark.” The children also brought flower stalks from home and lovingly crafted vibrant bouquets in their classrooms.
An interactive session introduced our young learners to the inspiring story of Dr. Montessori’s life, tracing her journey from Italy to Madras and highlighting the establishment of the first House of Children.
The celebration came to a cheerful close with a lively class party, where little learners enjoyed discovering the names of beautiful blooms such as gerberas, lotuses, asters, baby’s breath, carnations, and orchids. With colourful flowers, happy chatter, and curious little minds all around, it was a lovely way to celebrate the woman who believed so deeply in the magic of every child.
