The class assembly “Surya Samruddhi” by Grade 5C on 16 January, highlighted the significance of January through weather changes, harvest festivals, and the Sun’s journey. It began with a prayer to the rising Sun and a skit portraying cold January mornings, especially in Bengaluru. Students showcased January as a harvest season by presenting crops and festivals celebrated across India through narration and dance. The geographical and cultural importance of Makar Sankranti, Yellu Bella, Ratha Saptami and Surya Namaskar was explained, linking the Sun to agriculture, health, and nature’s rhythm. The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the principal, teachers, support staff and the audience.
