The Interschool Model United Nations conference was held at National Public School, HSR on 29 June ‘24. The event aimed to simulate the proceedings of the United Nations, providing students with a platform to develop their diplomatic, debating, and public speaking skills. The conference witnessed the participation of over 270 students from 25 schools across the region. The event commenced with an invocation song soliciting the blessing of Lord Ganesha . The band performance that followed witnessed outstanding response from the young audience. The principal Ms. Shefali Tyagi, in her address, emphasized the importance of youth leadership and global cooperation in solving pressing world problems. Delegates representing various committees including UNSC, UNHRC, DISEC engaged in rigorous debates on global issues such as refuge crisis, disarmament policy and human rights violations, among many others. After a long day of intense debates and discussions, DPS East walked home with the Best Delegation award. The NPSH MUN 2024 was a resounding success, marked by enthusiastic participation and high-quality debates. The event not only educated students about international affairs but also empowered them to become proactive global citizens
