NPS HSR’s annual art exhibition, Hastakala, held on 7 and 8 February, showcased an impressive array of artistic talent and craftsmanship. With a strong focus on sustainability, students repurposed everyday materials into stunning works of art.
In the primary school, young artists crafted colourful paper cup puppets, beautifully designed calendars, journals, and vibrant brush pen artworks. They also explored plant propagation and showcased their pottery skills, blending creativity with nature.
Middle school students displayed intricately designed tote bags, embroidered fabric runners, and handcrafted flowers made from recycled fabric. They transformed newspapers into African masks and coasters, demonstrating both artistic skill and environmental consciousness. The exhibition also featured clay modeling, macramé, optical illusion art, and mixed-media story illustrations.
Hastakala was a testament to the students’ artistic ingenuity and commitment to sustainability, leaving visitors inspired by their skill and imagination.
